Bank statement guide

Read the operating account the way a funding desk may read it.

Bank statements do more than confirm revenue. They show how cash enters, how long it stays, what obligations already draw from the account and whether the timing supports another payment.

The five-part statement read

A deposit total is only the first line.

01 · Revenue pattern

Volume, trend and consistency

Review total deposits by month, recurring sources, seasonality and whether the recent direction agrees with the business explanation.

02 · Balance behavior

Average balance and negative days

A statement can show whether cash remains available between deposits or the account repeatedly approaches or crosses zero.

03 · Returned activity

NSF and returned payments

Recent returned items may signal timing pressure. Confirm the cause, recency and whether the pattern has been resolved.

04 · Existing obligations

Daily, weekly and monthly debits

Identify every financing payment and recurring obligation. An incomplete debt picture can distort available payment capacity.

05 · Revenue quality

Transfers, concentration and unusual deposits

Separate operating revenue from internal transfers, owner contributions and one-time deposits. Explain concentration when a small number of sources drive the account.

06 · File integrity

Account ownership and continuity

Confirm the account belongs to the applicant entity, all statement periods are complete and no pages or months are missing.

Before you share statements

Build one clean operating story.

Do not change accounts or move money merely to make a snapshot look better. Prepare an accurate explanation and let the records support it.

  2. 02

Reconcile deposits to revenue reporting and identify transfers or owner contributions.

  3. 03

List every current financing obligation, payment cadence and remaining balance.

  4. 04

Explain recent negative balances, returned items, unusual deposits or material declines.

  5. 05

Pair the statements with current financials when the requested structure requires a deeper review.

Private local diagnosis

Let four statement files do the first pass.

AXIS can read supported text-based statement PDFs locally in your browser, map preliminary banking signals and show what still needs an answer. Raw files and extracted text are not transmitted to AXIS in this release.

The intelligence layer behind every AXIS path

The score is not the finish line. It shows what to do next.

AXIS turns business, banking, credit and document signals into one five-pillar read. A stronger, verified file can expand the structures, amounts and pricing worth testing, but every final decision and term remains with the funding source.
